The Port was awarded grant funding through the Solar Plus Storage for Resilient Communities program managed by the Washington State Department of Commerce to add solar power and battery backups at Grove Field and the Administrative Building. Work will begin at the Administrative Building on Wednesday, August 28th. For your safety, be mindful of moving construction equipment and please do not enter the construction work zone.

The Port's Administrative Building & Grove Field solar panel projects are supported with funding from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act. The CCA supports Washington’s climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health. Information about the CCA is available at www.climate.wa.gov
