Newsletter

In this section of the Port's website you'll find the most current, as well as past issues of the "Port News," a Newsletter prepared each month in an effort to keep our Marina, Airport, and Industrial Park tenants apprised of current issues at the Port of Camas/Washougal.

The "Port News" is prepared by our very own staff member, Mary Murphy. She works hard to gather information to educate readers on what's new at the Port and to inform the tenants of any changes taking place within the Port.

We welcome ideas and comments to make the newsletter more useful to readers. Please direct them to mary@portcw.com.

We hope you enjoy the "Port News" each month.

PORT PLANS SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS FOR GROVE FIELD

On Tuesday, September 9th, the Port will host a “Kick-Off”- Public Information Meeting at the Camas High School Auditorium from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., with information about the ALP in general, and the Environmental Assessment in particular -- the first step in implementation of the Plan.  On hand will be WH Pacific with a PowerPoint presentation; there will also be a Q&A period.  Detailed information is being compiled for the Port’s website and will be posted shortly.

In 2005, the Port began public outreach on an Airport Layout Plan (ALP) for Grove Field to bring the Airfield to FAA minimum safety standards. From those meetings, public input, and feedback from the Airport Advisory Committee, the ALP was written, reviewed by the FAA, WSDOT/Aviation and the Port, and approved in September of 2007 by the Board of Commissioners.  See www.portcw.com/airportLayout.htm for additional background.
