Steigerwald Commerce Center Development Standards
Design and Development
These Development Standards (download here) are intended to govern new development and redevelopment within the Steigerwald Commerce Center. Application of these Standards will attract new industry and provide employment opportunities for the community consistent with the Port's Mission Statement and will ensure that development within the Park respects the natural environment.
NOTE: The "East Industrial Park" was formally named "Steigerwald Commerce Center" by the Port Commission in 2010.
In 2009, the Port of Camas-Washougal created a series of exhibits to stimulate public feedback on preliminary design options for the East Industrial Park project. The Design Options document (download here) includes one exhibit that shows existing conditions of the East Industrial Park property, and four exhibits that present options for the design of eight important aspects, which include:
- Loading Docks
- Solid Waste & Recycling
- Building Materials
- Parking Lots
- Public Frontages
- Screening & Buffers
- Signage and Pedestrian Amenities
- Stormwater

Stakeholder Interviews
In January and February of 2009, the Port of Camas-Washougal, in conjunction with JLA Public Involvement, held a series of twenty one-on-one interviews with Port tenants, Port Commissioners and other stakeholders. The goal of the interviews was to obtain comments and input that would inform and guide the East Industrial Park Master Development Plan process. Below you will find links to a summary report of responses:
