Port of Camas-Washougal Receives Federal ‘Finding of No Significant Impact’ Document for Grove F
Thursday, July 07, 2011
The Port of Camas-Washougal today announced the receipt of the official Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI), from the Federal Aviation Administration. This document is the final piece of the Grove Field Airport Environmental Assessment and is found on the port website: http://portcw.com/index.php/projects/grove_field_environmental_assessment/.
“The receipt of the completed Environmental Assessment, FONSI and public input throughout this process, has provided commissioners with important information regarding the airport,” said Port Executive Director David Ripp. “Port commissioners will make a decision about Grove Field’s status as an FAA-obligated airport at the port commission meeting on July 19.”
The FONSI resulted from the environmental analysis and interagency review during the environmental assessment process, which found the project has no significant impacts on the quality of the environment. This document includes the FAA responses to public comments on the draft environmental assessment.
