The Port of Camas-Washougal today announced its fourth annual volunteer levee and beach cleanup, celebrating Earth Day on Friday, April 19 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

“It’s a great time to get outdoors and help with our tradition of keeping the waterfront clean,” said David Ripp, port executive director. “Captain William Clark Park at Cottonwood Beach is one of our community gems and we invite everyone who enjoys the outdoors in east Clark County to join us for this activity.”

Volunteers should meet at the restrooms near Recognition Plaza (the dugout canoe exhibit at the entrance to Captain William Clark Park in Washougal).  Cleanup is from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2013. Wear shoes appropriate for walking. Garbage bags, gloves and light refreshments will be provided.
