Art Display Program
Friday, March 23, 2012
The Port of Camas-Washougal today announced the opening of a rotating art display in the lobby of the port office. The artwork will be selected from submissions from local artists, including students, with preference given to residents of the Camas-Washougal area.Art_Display_FINAL_03-22-12.pdf
Original landscape paintings, wildlife photography from the nearby Steigerwald National Wildlife Refuge, northwest fishing and recreational aircraft images are also encouraged. We also welcome local artwork that supports themes that reflect the port’s mission as an economic engine, recreation sponsor and historical and cultural institution. Criteria for artwork submissions and how to apply are found on the port website at http://portcw.com/index.php/about/art_display/.
The port is launching its artwork display program effective immediately with pictures from a local photographer. The photographs currently on display feature the work of Mitch Hammontree (also owner of the Quizno’s restaurant in Washougal).
