The two-story facility, on the Columbia River shore overlooking the Port of Camas/Washougal marina -- has been reincarnated with an upstairs dining room, a sports bar and a banquet area on the lower floor.
The restaurant has been revamped by new owner Victor Espinoza, a nationally ranked horse-racing jockey who bought the 1.08-acre property in May 2004. He said the Parker House will spotlight steaks and fresh seafood with a lower-priced menu than comparable establishments.
"My favorite is a New York strip steak," said Espinoza, who admitted he eats little meat to keep his weight down. "The other day I went into a Vancouver restaurant, and they wanted $45 for a New York steak, and that's not reasonable."
